It's very simple. My goal is for my photography to bring about emotion.
Rise LOVE up in you. Bring tears to your eyes. Make you realize that LOVE is there.
Show the LOVE. Show the JOY.

Portrait Session, Family & Children
Prior to the shoot I will want to speak with you about your family and get to know you a bit in order to figure out how to structure the shoot. Some questions I might ask: what means the most to your family? what is your favorite place to go on a Sunday afternoon? or if it is an event I will want to know the details, location (which I might need to visit before hand), time of day and the available light, etc.
Example locations? your favorite picnic spot, your favorite museum, an ice cream shop or best yet, your favorite cuddly place at home. If you don’t have ideas – don’t worry, I do! I might even ask you to let me test out one of my new location ideas on you!
I take a lighthearted approach to the session and will often step back and just let our time together unfold. In order for you to get the most out of our time together, I ask that during the session, you leave the cares of the world behind and vow to love each other, giggle, and have fun!
I am passionate about lifestyle newborn photography. It captures a very special and important point in time. Lifestyle newborn shoots are more about the perfect pose, it’s about showing the emotion related to bringing baby home, the surroundings and environment that the baby is being welcomed into, and the loved ones who are welcoming it, ESP a big brother or sister!
Welcoming a new baby into your home is a momentous occasion one filled with all types of emotion (including exhaustion, let’s all be honest). It is a quiet time, it is a exuberant time. For older children it can be a confusing time. Lifestyle newborn photography is set to capture all of that emotion together with the love that is surrounding this new precious life. The children cuddled up together. Mama holding her sweet baby. Daddy, Mommy and baby. I want to capture not only the joy but the sweet quiet and so we cradle and sooth baby with warmth and hushed voices.
Lifestyle newborn sessions take place in your home. I believe that documenting your family in the area that baby is being brought into and will grow up in adds to the meaning of the finished product.
I work with the family to understand what works best for everyone involved. I can assure you that all mama’s look stunning during this time, whether they believe it or not! I work with everyone, including the Mother to figure out how they are most comfortable posing. The parents bed it often a wonderful place to capture the family. It is large enough to house everyone, but easy for everyone to cuddle in tight.
I provide professional yet modern head shots for a variety of clientele. The current trend in head shots is for less stiff, formal shots in natural light settings. I work with my clients to figure out the setting and poses that best represent their business.
Ohhhh my! engagement photos! I think being engaged is one of the most amazing times in life. You are in bliss, you are happy, you are embarking on this new adventure and it is all just part of this amazingly exciting journey. I absolutely love working with engaged couples. There are not many other times in life (if you are like most couples I know) where you would get photographs of just the two of you like you are at this moment. When a baby comes along it sure is bliss but it is different.
A practical reason for engaged couples to hire a professional to take their photos is that it helps prepare them for their wedding day. This is true especially for the groom. There is often hesitation on the part of the groom to venture into engagement photos but I have had many a groom tell me how much fun it was and rewarding the end product was – and this is NOT what they were expecting.
A lot of couples use engagement photos on their wedding websites, for their save-the-dates and other uses throughout the wedding process.

Building a relationship with my clients is one of my favorite aspects of the work and I look forward to hearing from you!
