FAQ

  • Where are you located and do you book travel sessions?

While I live in Washington DC I often travel for sessions. Please don’t hesitate to contact me about a sessions outside of the DC area. I LOVE to travel and I am always up for an adventure. I charge a travel fee for sessions over 60 miles from home, but if I am able to book multiple sessions in your area the travel fee is waived.

  • What is your photography style?

I am a natural light, modern, lifestyle photographer. While I will tell you how to pose and and give you direction,I do what it is called, “pose to decompose”, so I will pose you and then as the pose “falls apart” we will get some excellent real life moments.

I focus on love, light, peace, joy and combining those along with good light and colors to create portraits you will treasure forever.

  • Where will our session be held? Do you have a studio?

I always prefer to hold sessions outside in natural light, the best time of day it early AM or afternoon/evening 1-2 hours prior to sunset.

For newborns I always hold them at your home.

I do not have my own studio but there are times I will rent space for certain occasions / special sessions.

  • When do newborn sessions take place?

My favorite time is the one month marker. Mom is comfortable at home and the baby looks a bit more like themselves and are awake.

However, If you would like the newborn look, “sleepy baby portrait” it should be in the first week of being home. I also do “Fresh 48” session at the hospital with the baby in the first 48 hours of their lives! More about my baby first year plan HERE.

I typically hold newborn sessions in the mornings around 9AM, when the baby is fresh and happiest!

  • This is a frequently asked question?

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
