We had a huge storm here in DC. We just happened to fly out an hour before the storm hit. DC was down and out for days and our home lost electricity for a week! We were lucky enough to stay on "vacation" (became a working vacation) for the entire week and come back to a cool home. However, we came back to no TV, Internet or Phone! Whatever will we do? 3 weeks later here we are back online. I have to admit I was curious to see how life would change without TV, and I am sorely disappointed to say, I don't think it changed much. My mom asked me if I read more....answer, no. Being tired is being tired and when I am tired I can't read (even if it is about Christian Grey). Maybe I cleaned more....maybe I went to bed earlier...but I didnt notice much of a change. I think J did more because there was endless begging for Elmo. Before we went off the grid I had committed to doing a project on BED. I am a big fan of bed. I love being in bed, I love cuddling in bed, I love watching TV and movies in bed, I love reading in bed, I love being quiet in bed. I love messy hair, messy sheets and comfy pills all around. I love white sheets, crisp white sheets. I love pajamas. I wish I was good about making my bed everyday day because there is nothing like getting in a tightly made bed.
All of this is leading me to my new obsession of the bed as a location for family portraits. Love it. Thank you Pinterest for bringing so many of these wonderful photos to me. So, I embarked on a mission to leave my camera next to my bed and either document our "wake-up" or our "night-night"
So here goes.....
